Happy October! I cannot get over how fast summer has gone and it’s almost Christmas! Too soon? Maybe, haha!

Chilly mornings and fallen leaves are becoming the norm. It officially feels like Fall has arrived and is here to stay. I’m really excited for a new month to start. The month of  September was like a “restart” for me. A very much needed one!

September: My goal was to go to sleep by 10:00 and get 7-8 hours of sleep. Fail. I kept pushing my bedtime later and later each time. Many  times going to sleep at 1 or 2am and waking up at 7.

October: This month I’m going to aim for 7 hours of sleep each night. I want my quiet time to be early in the morning instead of late at night. I can be more productive and in a much better mood if I just start my days off right lol.

Eat whole foods

September: My goal was to add more fruits and vegetables to my meals.  I would say I’m about 70 percent with this. That dairy is something I need to give up. I still over did it with the pizza on the weekends (I know, I need stop) but I did really good not eating sweets -YAY  ME!

October: My goal this month is to make a food diary and each night, plan my meals for the day. I want to have smoothies for breakfast just because it’s very easy to make and a great way to have more greens. You can find many tasty smoothies recipes and ideas here.

drink more water

September: My goal was to drink 125 ounces of water a day (that is about 15 cups of water a day). I came pretty darn close a few days. I’m pretty sure that the waking up late, and being in a morning rush is a huge deal with my water intake. The days I did well, I had 32 ounces of water in my system by 9:00am.

October: I want to hit my water goals everyday. My goal is to drink 64 ounces before noon and 64 ounces by 7:00pm. I can’t drink much water after 8 or I’ll be having to wake up all night to pee (I really need my beauty sleep haha).

lose 8 pounds

September: My goal was to lose eight pounds. That’s an average of 2 pounds per week, which is completely doable. I lost six pounds and although I didn’t meet my goal, I’m really excited for that! I can really feel a difference too.

October: This month I want to keep it consistent with losing weight. I’m happy with losing another six pounds so I’m going to aim for that.

Wear my corset daily

September: My goal was to wear my corset every day. Fail. I did take it out of my closet and wore it a few times a week. The hours I did have the corset on, felt great and kept me from eating out of boredom and stress.

October: This month I want to wear the corset a lot more. I’ve felt that my posture is so much better.

September: My goal was to at least try to do some yoga. I’ve been having some serious and painful calluses on both of my feet preventing me to be very active. I’m so happy to say that by the last few days of the month I was able to walk pain-free!

October: I already started to do Insanity Max:30 and my goal is to do every day of the planned workouts.

My Goals: Why do I set them?  Why do I share them here?

  • Setting goals helps me remain focused.
  • Sharing my goals helps to hold me accountable.
  • I hope that it may inspire you to set goals for yourself? Give it a try! Start small if it seems overwhelming or like too much work. Or maybe it seems pointless to you? Give it a shot and see what you think.

‘Till next time! Xoxo

  1. I totally agree that sharing your goals, in addition to writing them out in black and white helps solidify them, making them more real. It’s a method I use myself as well. I need to be drinking more water too. Maybe I’ll join you in that goal! 🙂

  2. Love reading these goals – it helps get me motivated for the coming month! Also, HOLY COW YOU DRINK A LOT OF WATER! I thought I drank a lot of water (I aim for 3L/day) but that’s nothing compared to your 125 ounces. Get. It. Girl.
