Potty training can be a love-hate type relationship. The idea of your child not needing diapers can be delightful, but the whole process may very well be overwhelming. If you’re looking to potty train your child these hacks will be a great asset to you!

Make A Potty Rewards Jar

You can throw in a jelly bean for a pee and two for poop should keep your little one enthusiastic! This jar is too cute!

If They Don’t Want To Go, Have Them Blow Bubbles

If you sit your child on the potty but they refuse to go, have them blow some bubbles. Not only is it fun, but it helps losen the stomach muscles, making it easier to do what they’ve got to do.

Use A Paper Coffee Filter

Dumping the pee into the toilet and washing it out isn’t a big deal- but poop is a completely different story! This hack is a great solution.

Be Prepared To Visit Public Restrooms

Portable Potty Seat: This is amazing for so many reasons. Public restrooms are terrifying. A folding portable potty seat creates a nice barrier between baby’s bum and that terrible seat. You can find a favorite character to make it less intimidating when having to go in a public restroom. This for me is a must have for a potty on the go.

Anti-bacterial Wipes: These come in really handy to wipe off the portable potty after each use. It’s also great to clean little hands if there is no soap in the public restroom (yuck!).

Baby wipes: When having a child, baby wipes becomes one of those “must haves” in the bag. I’m sure you can agree with me that baby wipes do a much better job to cleaning a little ones bum than toilet paper. Since my motherhood I have discovered how convenient it is for other things and haven’t ran out of them since.

Extra undies and outfit: It’s better to be safe than sorry! Tiny bladders and far away restrooms, accidents can happen.

Wet Bag: In case of an accident. I use this one and I love it! It keeps any smells from spreading

Emergency Diaper: It’s always a great idea to carry an extra emergency diaper just in case. Toddlers aren’t always great at holding it so it’s better to be safe than sorry. You don’t have to buy a big pack of pull-ups that might go to waste, instead you can buy a reusable cloth diaper. Just use one of these cloth inserts to make it more absorbent.

Get Some Books

Buy a lot of potty books.  Just let them decide from there. He’s old enough where your wills are what is clashing and it will just end in tears. Back to diapers. No pull ups. Those things are a waste of too much money.
